This curriculum series will cover advanced administration skills such as tuning the network and server for better performance and managing complex tree structures. This series covers the same content as Novell's instructor-led course 525, and the test objectives for exam 50-614.

Experienced NetWare administrators who are responsible for administering NetWare 4.11 networks. Participants should have knowledge equivalent to Novell IntranetWare: NetWare 4.11 Administration Curriculum, course 81301D.

Course Series: Novell IntranetWare: Netware 4.11 Advanced Administration Curriculum, courses 81311- 81313

• The first course in this series helps students learn how to configure servers; plan, design, implement, and access the NDS structure; enhance the security of a complex network; and, manage replicas and partitions. The second course in this series will show participants how to identify the types of time servers and how to plan and implement time synchronization; complete the NDS design; plan time server type and the time communication method for the network; use NDS preventive maintenance techniques; troubleshoot NDS inconsistencies; and, recover from a crashed SYS volume. In the third course in this series, participants will integrate and manage NetWare 3 servers; manage and optimize network performance; configure a NetWare 4 Server for diverse clients; and, configure routing information using the INETCFG utility.
