The IBM Lotus Domino 6 Administration New Features Curriculum includes the courses that provide an introduction to the new features of Domino 6. Students will learn how to set up and secure the administration environment, and about policy-based management. Course Overview
This course provides an introduction to the new features of Domino 6. You learn how to set up the administration environment and how to secure it. Finally, you learn about policy-based management.

• To match options available when installing Domino 6 server software with their functions
• To identify Domino 6 server configuration enhancements
• To identify the steps involved in setting up a remote Domino 6 server
• To identify features of the server-based Certificate Authority (CA)
• To register a second-level organizational unit (OU)
• To identify steps for migrating a second-level organizational unit (OU) certifier to the Certificate Authority (CA) process
• To identify features of Domino 6 policies for policy-based management
• To identify features of a policy settings document
• To create an organizational policy


Audience
The audience consists of System Administrators that are involved in deploying advanced Domino 6 features and tuning Domino 6 systems. They may have the task of migrating to Domino 6 or coexisting with R5. It is assumed that this audience has experience in the system administration of Domino 5.

You will also learn how to control mail and about the LDAP enhancements in Domino 6. Finally, you learn about performance optimization in Domino 6. This includes monitoring the server environment and the various methods used to improve performance.
