The Complete Oracle Designer 6i Curriculum introduces the learner to Oracle relational database concepts and the use of SQL for storing, retrieving, and manipulating data in a relational database, describes how to access data from more than one table using joins and aggregating data using group functions.
Learners will create tables and other database objects to maintain and modify these data objects, and teaches how to control both user and object level security in an Oracle database. Learners will also be introduced to the basics of PL/SQL.
This curriculum builds the necessary skills for using Oracle PL/SQL. It will help the learner acquire the expertise to design, develop, and implement Oracle Server applications by using Oracle Structured Query Language (SQL) and PL/SQL.
The learner is guided step-by-step through the various aspects of PL/SQL programming. Numerous easy-to-understand examples ensure that the concepts are amply illustrated.
This curriculum also takes students along a streamlined path through the Oracle Designer development environment. It covers recording business requirements into the Repository including process modeling, entity relationship modeling, and function modeling. Transforming the analysis model into design level definitions, refining the data and application designs, and generating database objects and simple WebServer applications are covered. - Course 61112 Oracle SQL: DML and DDL
- Course 61113 Oracle PL/SQL: Basics
- Course 61414 Oracle Designer 6i First Class: Analysis
- Course 61415 Oracle Designer 6i First Class: Design and Generate Certification
This course will help candidates prepare for test 1Z0-001, which applies towards the following Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Program certification tracks: Oracle7.3 Certified Database Administrator, Oracle8 Certified Database Administrator, and Oracle Certified Application Developer, Release 2.
Audience
The intended audiences for this curriculum include application developers, database administrators, designer/developers, business analysts, project leaders, Web application developers, and technical support professionals. Prior to taking this curriculum, participants should be able to use a graphical user interface (GUI) and should be familiar with data processing concepts and techniques. Some prior knowledge of programming languages would be an advantage.
