Course Overview
This curriculum contains 2 courses and introduces the R4 system administraot and developer to Lotus Domino R6. The curriculum covers new features introduced in R5 that are part of R6. It also teaches how to install R6 and introduces the new features of R6, as well as the integrated development environment in Domino Designer 6. Course Overview
This course provides learners with an overview of the new features that were introduced in Domino 5 and that are part of the new Domino 6 Release. Learners are taught how to install Lotus Notes/Domino 6 and are given an overview of Domino 6 administration tasks and tools. The new features used for managing users and files and for monitoring servers are introduced. Learners also learn about routing mail and managing directories in Domino 6.

Audience
This audience in made up of System Administrators that have not yet upgraded to R5. They will be involved in the deployment of Domino 6. They will need to first migrate to R5 before migrating to and/or coexisting with Domino 6. It is assumed that the audience has knowledge in the system administration of Domino 4.6.

Unit 2: Managing Users and Files 2 - 2.5 hours
• Identify functions of the safeguarding ID files process.
• Set up ID file backup to authorize administrators to recover ID files.

• Identify the tasks for restoring user access.
• Identify user registration options in the Register Person dialog box.
• Identify features of the Domino 6 database.
• Identify options available for managing a database by using the Manage ACL tool.

14393 - IBM Lotus Domino Designer 6: Preparing Domino Release 4 Developers
Course Overview
This course introduces the integrated development environment in Domino Designer 6, including working with pages, framesets, design elements, and target frames. You will learn about working with forms in Designer 6, including tables, fields, actions, and views.

They may or may not be involved in coding in LotusScript, and using Web tools outside of R4.x. Experience designing and developing Domino applications using the Domino R4 design environment.
